Practice to Mastery: AP® Psychology Workbook is a unit-by-unit practice book for the redesigned AP Psychology course, built around the skills the new exam rewards most: applying psychological concepts to real situations, evaluating research, and reading data. The book holds 852 original questions, 825 multiple choice and 27 free response, organized in the order of the College Board’s Course and Exam Description:Unit 1: Wiring, Chemistry, and the Sensing BodyUnit 2: Filters, Shortcuts, and the Remembering MindUnit 3: Growing, Changing, and Learning from ExperienceUnit 4: The People Around Us and the Person WithinUnit 5: Distress, Resilience, and the Road to RecoveryEach unit contains 150 multiple-choice questions arranged from Easy to Medium to Hard, followed by four Article Analysis Questions (AAQ) and one Evidence-Based Question (EBQ), the two free-response formats of the current exam. Every question carries a difficulty tag, so students can start where they are and build up.Research methods and statistics run through every unit, always inside that unit’s content. Students identify research designs, variables, and confounds; judge operational definitions, sampling, and generalizability; apply ethical guidelines; and interpret means, correlations, effect sizes, and statistical significance. Original tables, bar graphs, line graphs, and scatterplots give steady practice reading the kind of data the exam presents.Every answer is fully explained. Multiple-choice explanations show why the correct answer is right and name the trap that catches most students, such as treating a correlation as proof of cause or confusing negative reinforcement with punishment. Each AAQ and EBQ comes with a point-by-point scoring guide modeled on the structure of the official scoring guidelines, examples of responses that earn and do not earn each point, and a complete model response written in clear, correct terminology. EBQ guides show how to build a claim, cite sources, and connect evidence to a psychological concept. The book ends with a full-length practice examination built to the published structure of the exam: 75 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, then one AAQ and one EBQ in 70 minutes, with an answer key, explanations, scoring guides, model responses, and a table for estimating an AP score.Inside you will find:852 original questions covering all five units of the course20 AAQs and 5 EBQs in the unit sections, plus one of each in the practice examDifficulty tags on every unit questionResearch methods and data interpretation practice in every unitDetailed explanations, scoring guides, and model responsesA full-length practice examination with score estimationStudy plans for use alongside a class, for focused exam review, or for self-studyThe Workbook is the companion to Practice to Mastery: AP® Psychology Practice Exams, which offers 12 full-length practice exams. The two books are designed to be used together and share no questions. All questions, studies, sources, data, and figures are original and written for practice. The studies described are fictional.AP® and Advanced Placement® are registered trademarks of the College Board, which was not involved in the production of, and does not endorse, this product.
