The document you hold in your hands is the result of more than two years of effort; it represents an attempt to introduce the Pedagogy of Cooperation in Physical Education to physical education teachers in Mexico, and its goal is to contribute to the already nearly half-dozen texts written on this important topic for physical education in our country. To begin with, it has three strengths. The first relates to inclusion: it was written by Mexican and Spanish authors who agreed to participate precisely as part of an effort to cooperate selflessly on the project, sharing their successful experiences in this field; and the fact is that all of them are 'front-line' professionals-that is, real teachers, in real-world settings, who at a certain point in their lives-faced with challenges they needed to address-discovered that traditional physical education approaches are insufficient to meet the needs of all students as required, whether in terms of academic achievement, the development of motor skills, or meeting curriculum standards.
